Elevess

Elevess is a dermal filler that is used to correct facial wrinkles and folds.  It is a gel of modified hyaluronic acid (HA).  The HA in Elevess is made from a fermented source.  It is injectable and compatible with the skin.  Elevess if formulated with lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to provide pain relief at the injection site.  Skin testing is not required.  Elevess is slowly absorbed by the body.  It is used for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as the folds occurring around the mouth) by injection into the mid to deep dermis.

Elevess is composed of hyaluronic acid, lidocaine, a sulfite, and may contain trace amounts of gram positive bacterial proteins.  Elevess is contraindicated for patients with a history of allergies to such material.  Elevess should be used with caution in patients on immunosuppressive therapy.  Patients taking medicines that can prolong bleeding, such as aspirin and non steriodal anti-inflammatory drugs, may experience increased bruising or bleeding at injection sites.
